Our horse and pony grass seed mixture has been specifically designed for horse and pony grazing and to withstand the damage horses can do to a field.

This well balanced mix produces a palatable yet low sugar sward for grazing and can also be cut to produce a sweet smelling high quality hay.

The grass variety Strong Creeping Red Fescue is included as it creates a dense base because as the name suggests - it grows along the ground to fill in any hoof prints left by galloping horses which helps to hold the ground together.

The wide range of heading dates increases the length of the growing season so this horse and pony grass mix can be grazed all year round, however be careful not to poach the ground as this could damage the grasses.

To reduce the laminitis risk, clover has not been included in this grass seed mix; however it can be added if you would like it within your own mixture.
